I have a 1200 paxton on my 65 mustang with a 302W. It is a passenger side mount. The intake filter is right over the heads and exhaust so it is breathing hot air. I want to relocate the filter to the front of the car to get cold air but it is so tight I don't think I could fabricate some pipes or use silicone. What should I use. Thanks

Just a quick question, should some type of seal be put on the inside of the inlet, I see there is a lip in side the supercharger side. The reason I ask is that it is steel against steel and I don't think it seals that well. I have noticed a small amount of oil that leaks out of the bottom of the inlet side when you give it a boot full. This then hits a belt and gets thrown around the engine bya.

I don't really have an answer for that question since we do not do rebuilds on Vortech, so I highly suggest contact Vortech for the answer to that one.

However, any oil coming out from the blower is a bad sign. I would suggest to pin point where the oil is coming from. Sometimes oil comes from the PCV which is normally hooked up on the discharge track.

If it is not coming from there, then contact Vortech to have the blower looked at. It is possible that they seal is bad or maybe position incorrectly.
